Ursula Haubner
Ursula Haubner (born 22 December 1945) is an Austrian politician of the Alliance for the Future of Austria (BZÖ), formerly of the Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ). Early life and education Haubner was born in Bad Goisern, Upper Austria, and took her ''Matura'' exams in Bad Ischl in 1963. Her younger brother was former FPÖ and BZÖ party chairman Jörg Haider. Career A former teacher, local politician, and a member of government (''Staatssekretärin'') since February 2003, Haubner was appointed federal minister of social affairs in January 2005, succeeding Herbert Haupt, whom she had already followed as party chairperson in June 2004. Herbert Haupt
Herbert Haupt (born 28 September 1947) is an Austrian politician and former party chairman of the Austrian Freedom Party. Born in Seeboden, Carinthia, and a veterinarian by training, he was federal Minister of Social Services from 2000 till 2005 in a coalition government headed by Wolfgang Schüssel. Haupt was Vice Chancellor of Austria from 28 February 2003 until 20 October 2003. He is still a member of the National Council of Austria, now representing the Alliance for the Future of Austria (BZÖ) party founded by Jörg Haider in April 2005. He stepped down as Minister of Social Services in January 2005 and was succeeded by Ursula Haubner, Jörg Haider's sister. Jörg Haider (; 26 January 1950 – 11 October 2008) was an Austrian politician. He was Governor of Carinthia on two occasions, the long-time leader of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) and later Chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Austria (Bündnis Zukunft Österreich, BZÖ), a breakaway party from the FPÖ. Haider was a controversial figure within Austria and abroad. Several countries imposed mild diplomatic sanctions against his party's participation in government alongside Wolfgang Schüssel's Austrian People's Party (ÖVP), starting from 2000.
