Kirk Urso
Kirk Jon Urso (March 6, 1990 – August 5, 2012) was an American professional Association football, soccer player who played as a midfielder. A product of Glenbard East High School and the IMG Soccer Academy, Urso played four years of college soccer at North Carolina Tar Heels men's soccer, North Carolina. He helped the Tar Heels win three Atlantic Coast Conference titles, reach four consecutive NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament, College Cups, and claim a national championship in 2011 North Carolina Tar Heels men's soccer team, 2011. Upon his graduation, Urso's 91 appearances for North Carolina were the most in program history. Urso appeared during the collegiate offseason with Carolina Dynamo and Chicago Fire Premier. He was selected by Columbus Crew in the first round of the 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft and went on to appear in six matches for the Crew. Frank Urso
Frank Urso (born 1954) is a former American lacrosse player and current high school lacrosse coach, best known for his collegiate career at the University of Maryland from 1973 to 1976. During those four years, Maryland won two national championships, in 1973 and 1975, and reached the final in 1974 and 1976. Urso received the Tewaaraton Legend Award in 2016. College career Urso led the Terrapins to the 1973 and 1975 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships and to a perfect 10–0 record in 1973. Urso ranks fourth all-time in Maryland men's lacrosse scoring with 208 career points and first all-time in NCAA Division I tournament scoring with 32 goals. Urso earned first-team All-American honors all four years while in college, one of only four players in NCAA history to achieve that feat. Joseph David Urso (born March 1, 1979) is an American football quarterback who has played professional arena football/ indoor football in three leagues; as well as brief stints in the National Football League with the New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks after coming out of college as an undrafted free agent. He played college football at Lycoming College, and then transferred to Wilkes University. He currently plays for the Arbutus Thundercats in the MIFL. Francesco Urso (born 9 June 1994) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Torres. Career Born in Fano, Marche region, Urso started his career at Romagna club Cesena. Phil Urso
Phil Urso (2 October 1925, Jersey City, New Jersey — 7 April 2008, Denver, Colorado) was an American jazz tenor saxophonist and composer known for his association with trumpeter Chet Baker. Urso learned clarinet as a child and switched to tenor sax while in high school. He served in the Navy during World War II and then moved to New York City in 1947. There he played with Elliot Lawrence (1948–50), Woody Herman (1950-51), Terry Gibbs, Miles Davis (1952), Oscar Pettiford (1953), Jimmy Dorsey, and Bob Brookmeyer (1954). In 1955, he first began working with Chet Baker, and was a prominent contributor to Baker's Pacific Jazz releases in 1956.
