Uppsala County (Riksdag Constituency)
Uppsala County ( sv, Uppsala Län) is one of the 29 multi-member constituencies of the Riksdag, the national legislature of Sweden. The constituency was established in 1970 when the Riksdag changed from a bicameral legislature to a unicameral legislature. It is conterminous with the county of Uppsala. The constituency currently elects 12 of the 349 members of the Riksdag using the open party-list proportional representation electoral system. At the 2022 general election it had 292,255 registered electors. Christian Democrats (Sweden)
The Christian Democrats ( sv, Kristdemokraterna ; KD) is a Christian-democratic political party in Sweden founded in March 1964. It first entered parliament in 1985, through electoral cooperation with the Centre Party, and in 1991 broke through to win seats by itself. The party leader since 25 April 2015 has been Ebba Busch. She succeeded Göran Hägglund, who had been leader since 2004. Lars Wistedt (born 1964 in Enköping) is a Swedish former military officer, security specialist and politician of the Sweden Democrats party who has been a member of the Riksdag since 2022 representing the Uppsala County constituency. Biography Wistedt was born in 1964. He is a graduate of the Swedish Defence University after which he joined the Royal Swedish Army as an officer. He subsequently served as an intelligence officer with the Command and Control Regiment specialising in foreign operations. Ardalan Shekarabi ( fa, اردلان شکرآبی; born 28 November 1978) is a Swedish politician and former party chairman. He was appointed Minister for Social Security in October 2019, and had previously served as Minister for Public Administration from 2014 to 2019. On 21 January 2019 he became Minister for Consumer Affairs. Early life and education Ardalan Shekarabi is the son of Hassan Shekarabi and Sajadi Sahra.
