Upper Hutt City FC
Upper Hutt City Football is an association football club in Upper Hutt, Wellington which plays its home games at Maidstone Park. Upper Hutt City Football started as Upper Hutt United in 1926 and then alternative clubs were formed in the region through Tararua United in the 1970s and a women's club, Upper Valley Wanderers in the 1980s. In the late 1990s the three clubs agreed to amalgamate as Tararua Sports Club with their clubrooms and home ground based at Harcourt Park. At a meeting in 1998 it was agreed that the football teams would play as Upper Hutt City Soccer before they were renamed Upper Hutt City Football in 2011. After construction of an artificial surface pitch at Maidstone Park in 2011 it was decided in 2012 to move the clubrooms and home pitch to the park while still retaining Harcourt Park as its alternative home ground. Maidstone Park
Maidstone Park is a cricket and football ground in Upper Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand. A single List A match was held there during the 1978/79 Gillette Cup when Wellington played Canterbury, which resulted in a 4 wicket victory by Canterbury. The following season a first-class match was held there between Wellington and Central Districts in the 1979/80 Shell Trophy, which resulted in an innings and 45 runs victory for Wellington. Upper Hutt City FC also use Maidstone Park as their home ground with their club rooms based in front of the turf. Upper Hutt ( mi, Te Awa Kairangi ki Uta) is a city in the Wellington Region of New Zealand and one of the four cities that constitute the Wellington#Wellington metropolitan area, Wellington metropolitan area. The Capital Premier League is an amateur status league competition run by Capital Football for Association football clubs located in the southern part of the North Island, New Zealand. The 2016 Women's Knockout Cup is New Zealand's women's 23rd knockout football competition. The 2016 competition had three rounds before quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final. Competition was run in three regions (northern, central, southern) until the quarter-finals, from which stage the draw was open. In all, 43 teams entered the competition. The 2016 final The 2016 final was played between two Auckland teams Forrest Hill Milford and Glenfield Rovers at QBE Stadium before the men's Chatham Cup final. This was Forrest Hill-Milford second final appearance, having lost previously in the 2014 final, while Glenfield Rovers had won the cup the last two seasons and was looking for the three-peat. Glenfield Rovers
Glenfield Rovers was a semi-professional football club based in Glenfield, New Zealand. The men's team competed in the NRFL Division 1 in 2020, having suffered relegation from the NRFL Premier in 2019. The women's team competed in the NRFL Women's Premier League, finishing 2nd with 40 points in the 2019 season. History In 1960 Glenfield Rovers began as the "Chelsea Sugar Refinery" football team. It was then reformed under the guidance of Fons Scheirlinck and permitted to play Sunday football. In 1961, Chelsea Association Football Club was formed from the refinery team and affiliated to the Auckland Football Association. Eastern Suburbs Association Football Club is a professional Association football club based in the suburb of Kohimarama in Auckland, New Zealand. The club competes in the Northern League.
