Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan
''Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan'' () is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language comedy drama film directed by Arun Vaiga. The film stars Saiju Kurup in the titular role. Sharaf U Dheen was earlier reported to play one of the leads in the film but was replaced by Shabareesh Varma. The film released after a delay of a few years. This was the first film to be distributed by Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films. Plot The movie opens with Gunda Jayan’s flashback where he roughens up a government official at his place of work. Cut to the present, Jayan is an ex-ruffian who has given up his old ways and living decently with his family running a grocery store. His sister gets a marriage alliance from an NRI and Jayan and family almost immediately fixes it, much to the disagreement of his sister’s daughter,Anjana who is already in a relationship with someone. Dulquer Salmaan (born 28 July 1986) is an Indian actor, playback singer and film producer who predominantly works in Malayalam and Tamil films, in addition to Telugu and Hindi films. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in business management from Purdue University and worked as a business manager in Dubai before pursuing a career in acting. Hareesh Perumanna , known by his stage name Hareesh Kanaran, is an Indian comedian and film actor who appears in Malayalam films. He is best known for his stock character Jaliyan Kanaran which first appeared in ''Comedy Festival'', a comedy reality show in Mazhavil Manorama. Gokulan is an Indian actor who appears in Malayalam films. He made his acting debut through the 2013 Malayalam movie Punyalan Agarbattis by doing the character of Jimbroottan, which became popular.
