Until The End (album)
''Until the End'' is the third album by the Canadian heavy metal band Kittie, released by independent label Artemis in 2004. It included the single "Into the Darkness" which made its way to radio stations in June that year. A music video was also produced for the song. "Into The Darkness" made its video debut on MTV2's Headbangers Ball and peaked at #41 on the US 'Radio & Records Active Rock Songs' chart and #116 on the Official UK Singles Chart. The track "Red Flags" was also released as a promotional single in the fall of 2004. The track "Pussy Sugar" also received significant airplay on the '' Hard Attack'' satellite radio station. It was the only album to feature Jennifer Arroyo on bass. The album debuted at #105 in the Billboard Top 200, selling 19,000 copies. Kittie
Kittie is a Canadian Heavy metal music, heavy metal band formed in London, Ontario in 1996. All of their material has been released through independent record labels, which to date includes six studio albums, one video album, four extended plays, thirteen singles, and thirteen music videos. "Kittie" was chosen as the band name because the name "seemed contradictory." Kittie formed in 1996 when Fallon Bowman and Mercedes Lander met in gym class. Morgan Lander became the lead vocalist and one of Kittie's guitarists and Tanya Candler completed the band's lineup on bass. After signing to NG Records, Kittie released their debut album ''Spit (album), Spit'', which was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, RIAA and sold at least 600,000 copies in the United States. Jennifer Arroyo
Jennifer J. Arroyo (born March 20, 1975 in Staten Island, New York) is an American bassist best known for her tenure in the Canadian heavy metal group Kittie. While living in the Washington, D.C. area, she was the bassist for the rap metal band Spine. The band released two albums, and was quite popular in the Mid-Atlantic music scene, but did not manage to go much further, eventually breaking up after releasing one national label album. Her career in Kittie started after Talena Atfield left Kittie in 2002 without citing any official reasons. Jennifer had previously befriended the band when she was with Spine while filming a performance on the short-lived television show Farmclub.com, in Los Angeles, California. With a vacancy in the band, the remaining band members of Kittie invited Jennifer to join their band full-time. Headbangers Ball
''Headbangers Ball'' is a music television program that consisted of heavy metal music videos airing on MTV and its global affiliates. The show began on MTV on April 18, 1987, playing heavy metal music videos from both well-known and more obscure artists. The show offered (and became famous because of) a stark contrast to Top 40 music videos shown during the day. However, with the mainstream rise of alternative rock, grunge, pop punk and rap music in the 1990s, the relevance of ''Headbangers Ball'' came into question, and the show was ultimately canceled in 1995. Over eight years later, as new genres of heavy metal were gaining a commercial foothold and fan interest became unavoidable, the program was reintroduced on MTV2. MTV2 (formerly M2) is an American pay television Cable television, channel owned by the Paramount Media Networks division of Paramount Global. The channel launched initially as an all-music video service, once the original MTV had started to shift its programming. As with its parent network, MTV2's focus on music programming would gradually be downplayed during the 2000s.
