Unterstrass
Unterstrass is a quarter in the district 6 in Zürich. It was formerly a municipality of its own, having been incorporated into Zürich in 1893. The quarter has a population of 19,921, in an area of . In 1962, the faculty of science of the University of Zürich proposed to establish the Irchelpark campus on the ''Strickhofareal''. The first stage the construction of the university buildings was begun in 1973, and the campus was inaugurated in 1979. The construction of the second stage lasted from 1978 to 1983. The campus also houses the anthropological museum ''Anthropologisches Museum'', and the cantonal Staatsarchiv Zürich. Irchelpark
Irchelpark is the biggest public park in the city of Zürich in Switzerland, and claims to be the most spacious park in Switzerland. Location Irchelpark is situated mainly in Zürich- Unterstrass, a district of the city of Zürich. The area also houses the Irchelpark faculty of the University of Zürich and is one of the largest public parks in Zürich. Public transport is provided by the Zürich Tram routes 7, 9, 10 and 14, as well by the VBZ bus lines 39, 69, 72 and 83 at the Milchbuck hub. The park is divided by the ''Winterthurerstrasse'' respectively by one of the feeders of the A1 motorway in two different sites, bridged by a wide natural stone stair, of which the lower part af the park is partially situated. Theater Rigiblick
Theater Rigiblick or Theatersaal Rigiblick is a theatre in the German-speaking Switzerland situated in Zürich-Oberstrass. Built in 1901 as the restaurant ''Rigiblick'', the theater houses mainly guest performances, focussed on the dance theater. The theatre as institution is owned by the government of the city of Zürich, and the building by the Zürcher Frauenverein (ZFV) cooperative. History The ''Rigiblick'' building was built near the upper terminus of the present Seilbahn Rigiblick to house a restaurant with terrace and a large hall. It quickly became a social meeting place and a popular destination. Käferberg (el. ) and Waidberg (el. ) are the summits of a wooded mountain respectively chain of hills overlooking the inner city of Zürich, Zürichsee, Albis chain and Uetliberg, as well as the Limmat Valley and the Zürcher Unterland in Switzerland.
