UnTeachers
UnTeachers is a heavy metal band from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The band has released a split EP with Grace & Thieves, and a full-length album, titled, ''A Human Comedy '' which debuted No. 10 on Seth Werkheiser's Top 10 of 2014. History Formed in 2007, Unteachers is the musical brainchild of Stephen Mark Sarro (Tantrum Of The Muse) The first official line-up consisted of bassist Brian Denny, drummer Thom Lambert (Good Clean Fun), and keyboardist Seth Luzier. The band recorded an EP of Tantrum Of The Muse reworked songs, and a demo for the new Unteachers material with this line up. In 2009 Stephen was briefly joined by Rick Wise (Tantrum Of The Muse) and together they recorded Fill This Place With Blood and Fear Of Silence for a 7-inch. Soon after recording the 2 songs, Rick left the band. Travis Turner, (Aletheian and Solamors) joined in 2009. Tantrum Of The Muse
Tantrum of the Muse was a heavy metal band based out of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The band formed in 1998 and disbanded in 2004. The band members refers to their existence as "The Tantrum Reign of Terror". History Origin and ''The Heart is a Two Headed Sperm'' (1998-2000) Beginning in 1998, when founding member Stephen Mark Sarro (guitar, vocals) and long time music mate, Udrick Wise (drums) decided to turn their studio project into an actual live band. They recruited their hometown friend, Jason Stauffer (bass) to play with them and put together a couple songs and began playing shows. The band soon went into the studio to record a new batch of songs, Jason Stauffer was kicked out and replaced by Jim Settle. Stephen and Udrick, recorded the songs that became the band's debut album. Aletheian
Aletheian are a Christian progressive/melodic death metal band. They formed in Lebanon, Pennsylvania in 1997 under the name Crutch, and then changed their name to "Aletheian" prior to the 2003 album ''Apolutrosis''. Guitarist Alex Kenis joined Becoming the Archetype in 2007. In the early 2007, Aletheian signed to IronClad Recordings, an imprint of Metal Blade Records. Biography Aletheian was originally formed under the name Crutch in 1997. With the lineup of Alex Kenis on guitars, Keith Isenberg on bass, Vinnie Aldrich on vocals, and Bryan Clarkson on drums, the band began writing material. The early material was very metalcore oriented rather than what the band became known for later. Good Clean Fun (band)
Good Clean Fun is a hardcore punk band from Washington, D.C. who took their band name from the Descendents song of the same name. History Formed in 1997, the band used self-irony when spreading their message of veganism, straight edge, feminism and optimism. Their main influence is New York straight edge group Gorilla Biscuits. Other influences include 7 Seconds, Minor Threat, and Youth of Today. The band recorded three records before pretending to part ways in 2002, saying "their mission had been accomplished and they had reached their goals." At the same time, also as predicted in their song "I Can't Wait", they released a compilation album from their entire career, Positively Positive 1997-2002, on Equal Vision. Rottweiler Records is a Christian metal record label based out of Dallas, Texas, United States. The label features bands such as Lust Control, Soul Embraced, The Jericho Harlot, and Pantokrator. The label started early on as a label that served punk rock, but has become a label that serves metal and punk. It is a Christian label, and therefore many of its artists are as well. The label was created by Shawn Browning, also known as Wretched of Grave Robber. Many bands on the label have placed high on CMW's charts and have had many positive reviews. The Huntingtons
Huntingtons are a punk band from Baltimore, Maryland which formed in 1993 in the Maryland and Delaware area by Cliff Powell (a.k.a. Cliffy Huntington), Mike Holt (a.k.a. Mikey Huntington) and Mike Pierce (a.k.a. Mikee Huntington). The band is heavily influenced by the Ramones. Background Huntingtons debut album, ''Sweet Sixteen'', was released in 1996 by Flying Tart Records. Heavy Metal Music
Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. Christian Punk
Christian punk is a form of Christian music and a subgenre of punk rock which contain Christian lyrical content. Much disagreement persists about the boundaries of the subgenre, and the extent that their lyrics are explicitly Christian varies among bands. For example, The Crucified explicitly rejected the classification of "Christian punk" while staying within the Christian music industry. Given the nature of punk and some of its subgenres, such as hardcore punk, many bands have been rejected by the Christian and CCM music industry.
