Unsubstantial Blues
Hungary returned to the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 after skipping the 2006 Contest. It was represented by Magdi Rúzsa with the song "Unsubstantial Blues". Before Eurovision ''Fonogram Hungarian Music Awards 2007'' The Hungarian entrant at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 was selected through the "Discovery of the Year" category of the 2007 Fonogram Hungarian Music Awards (Hungarian: Fonogram – Magyar Zenei Díj), which took place on 24 February 2007 at the Jövő Háza Theater in Budapest and was broadcast on the First Channel of Magyar Televízió. A preselection jury nominated six artists for the category and the winner, Magdi Rúzsa, was selected by a public vote consisting of votes submitted through telephone and SMS voting. Magdi Rúzsa
Magdolna "Magdi" Rúzsa (; sr, Магдолна Ружа, Magdolna Ruža; born 28 November 1985) is a Hungarian singer who won the 2006 title of ''Megasztár'' (''"Megastar"''), Hungary's nationwide talent search, that resembles, but is not based on, ''Pop Idol''. As the winner of the category "Newcomer of the Year" at the Fonogram Hungarian Music Awards in 2007, she represented Hungary at the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki, Finland with the song "Unsubstantial Blues". She finished ninth and won a Marcel Bezençon Award in the Best Composer category. She often performs songs by her favorite singer, Janis Joplin. ''Megasztár - Voice of the Year'' was a Hungarian a music talent show that started in 2003 on TV2. While it is widely considered an unlicensed clone of the British television show ''Pop Idol'' (and sometimes even referred to as ''Hungarian Idol''), TV2 maintains that it is a distinct format created by SBS management member Christoph Buerge. The sixth season was the last, because TV2 bought the license of ''The Voice''. The Hungarian edition of ''The Voice'' premiered in fall 2012; it will be the rival show to ''X-Faktor''. Hungary has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 17 times since making its debut in . Éva Novodomszky (born 19 January 1974 in Szarvas, Hungary) is a Hungarian journalist and presenter. She started her career in a journalist school (Komlósi Oktatási Stúdió). She became a reporter (then presenter) of news of youth in Magyar Televízió. Later she worked for Parlamenti Napló, EuroPercek, Szabadság tér and Híradó. She has been the presenter of ''Híradó'' (News) since 2000. Andorra participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Salvem el món" written and performed by young Andorran punk-rock band Anonymous, consisting of band members: Guillem Gallego, Niki Francesca and Alejandro Martínez. The band was internally selected by Andorran broadcaster Ràdio i Televisió d'Andorra (RTVA) in a process called ''Projecte Eurovisió'' for the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland. Wisdom (band)
Wisdom was a Hungarian power metal band from Budapest. Formed in autumn 2001, the group was known for its practice of basing each song on a well-known quotation. Many of the band's lyrics and all of the album covers center on the story of an old man, a cult figure called Wiseman. Biography The band originally consisted of bass player Mate Molnar and guitarist Gabor Kovacs. Molnar was a fan of Kovacs' existing band Legendary, and the two agreed to form a new group together. They were later joined by Istvan Nachladal (Nahi) (vocals), Balazs Hornyak (drums) and Zsolt Galambos (guitar), who had also been a member of Legendary. The band was named after the 1986 film ''Wisdom''. Wisdom played their first concert in Miskolc in 2002. In they were featured as a support act in the 2003 Iron Maiden tour Give Me Ed... The Eurovision Song Contest 2007 was the 52nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Helsinki, Finland, following the country's victory at the with the song "Hard Rock Hallelujah" by Lordi. Vojvodina ( sr-Cyrl, Војводина}), officially the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, is an autonomous province that occupies the northernmost part of Serbia.
