''Unmixed'' is the second album by house production duo Freemasons. It was released on 29 October 2007, with the lead single "Uninvited" being released one week earlier. The album is unique, as unlike most DJ/Producers, the tracks are all unmixed full length versions. In addition, producer samples packs created by the Freemasons were included on a data portion of the album. Freemasons (band)
Freemasons are an English DJ duo from Brighton, East Sussex, England. The act consists of the producers Russell Small (who is also one half of the house production duo Phats & Small) and James Wiltshire (who also works with Phats & Small under the alias 'Jimmy Gomez'). Biography 2005–2007: Early career Their name is taken from the Brighton pub, Freemasons Tavern, Hove, which they frequently visit. The duo also record and remix under the similar-sounding "Freemaison" name, which is also the name of their record label that was founded in 2005. Freemasons have also produced tracks under the names of Alibi, Walken, Funk Fanatics and BN3 (which is part of their hometown of Hove's postal code). Uninvited (song)
"Uninvited" is a song by Canadian-American recording artist and songwriter Alanis Morissette, released as a single from the soundtrack of '' City of Angels'' in February 1998, becoming Morissette's first new recording since her international debut album, ''Jagged Little Pill'' (1995). Morissette wrote the song and co-produced it with Rob Cavallo. "Uninvited" is driven by four piano notes and builds to an instrumental climax, and haunting atmosphere accompanied by cryptic lyrics. Because the song was not released as a physical single in the United States, it was not allowed to chart on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 due to rules in place at the time. It instead appeared on the Hot 100 Airplay chart, peaking at number four in June 1998. In Canada, "Uninvited" reached number seven on the ''RPM'' Top singles chart. LeRoy Bell (born August 8, 1951) is an American singer and songwriter. He and his friend Casey James played in Special Blend, and then went on to form their own duo Bell and James, also composing songs that were hits for other artists most notably two charting hit singles for Elton John. It was released as the first single from their debut album, ''Shakedown'', which was not released until 2007, and features vocals from British singer Amanda Wilson. Bailey Tzuke (born Bailey Jean Muggleton-Tzuke; 28 June 1987) is an English singer-songwriter. She is the daughter of the singer-songwriter Judie Tzuke and record producer Paul Muggleton. The Flirtations (previously The Gypsies) are an all-female musical group who have recorded since the early 1960s. History In 1962 in New York City, Lestine Johnson and sisters Ernestine Pearce, Shirley Pearce and Betty Pearce from South Carolina formed The Gypsies. In 1964 they signed to Old Town Records, where they released their debut single "Hey There, Hey There". The song achieved airplay only on local radio stations, but their next single — the J.J. Jackson-written "Jerk It" — was more successful, reaching #111 (pop) and #33 (R&B) in the spring of 1965.
