Universomo
Universomo Ltd. was a Finnish video game developer based in Tampere, Finland, founded in 2002, and acquired by THQ on May 9, 2007. Universomo also had offices in Helsinki, Finland and San Diego, United States. The studio focused on games for mobile phones, the iPhone and the N-Gage. On January 12, 2010, THQ announced the Nintendo DS title '' Beat City'', developed by Universomo, marking the developer's first entry to the handheld gaming market. On March 2, 2010, Universomo's closure was announced. This left THQ Wireless without any studios under its umbrella, and development of its games would be outsourced to external studios. Universomo was best known for the favorably reviewed mobile and iPhone versions of de Blob, the mobile, iPhone and N-Gage versions of '' Star Wars: The Force Unleashed'' and the mobile versions of '' Lego Star Wars: The Video Game''. ''Beat City'' is a rhythm video game by THQ and Universomo for the Nintendo DS. It was released on April 20, 2010, in North America, and in Europe on June 11, 2010. It was also the first and one of the only home video games to be developed by Universomo. Production Production on the game took place in mid-to-late 2009 and early 2010. It was confirmed for a release in April 2010 on January 12, 2010. Plot The game stars a resident of Beat City who loves music named Synchronizer. He meets a purple alien whale named Groovy Whale who gives him the ability to control music and implants a giant speaker in his head. His hometown is being taken over by an evil music-hating organization called the Cacophony, led by failed opera singer Dame Isolde Minor. ''Bionicle Heroes'' is a 2006 Cross-platform software, multi-platform video game published by Eidos Interactive and TT Games Publishing and based on Lego's Bionicle line of constructible action figures. The game was released in November 2006 on PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Nintendo GameCube, Microsoft Windows, Game Boy Advance, and Nintendo DS; a Nintendo Wii version was later released in April 2007. The home console and PC versions were developed by Traveller's Tales, while Amaze Entertainment developed the handheld versions. A version of the game for mobile phones, developed by Universomo, was also released. The Force Unleashed
''Star Wars: The Force Unleashed'' is an action-adventure game developed by LucasArts and part of ''The Force Unleashed'' multimedia project.
