University Of Pereslavl
The University of Pereslavl (Russian ''Университет города Переславля имени А. К. Айламазяна'') is a non-state higher educational institution in Pereslavl-Zalessky, Russia, which operated in the period 1992–2017. History The university was opened on November 26, 1992, on the initiative of Academician Evgeny Velikhov. Over 25 years of existence, the university has trained more than 900 graduates. In 2017, due to financial difficulties, the university terminated its training activities and the state license was not renewed. Sergei Mikhailovich Abramov (russian: Сергей Михайлович Абрамов; born 25 March 1957) is a Russian mathematician, Professor, Dr.Sc., Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of the Institute of Program Systems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Rector of the University of Pereslavl (2003—2017). Pereslavl-Zalessky ( rus, Переславль-Залесский, p=pʲɪrʲɪˈslavlʲ zɐˈlʲɛskʲɪj, lit. ''Pereslavl beyond the woods''), also known as Pereyaslavl-Zalessky, is a town in Yaroslavl Oblast, Russia, located on the main Moscow–Yaroslavl road and on the southeastern shore of Lake Pleshcheyevo at the mouth of the Trubezh River. Evgeny Pavlovich Velikhov (born on February 2, 1935; in Russian: ''Евгений Павлович Велихов'') is a physicist and scientific leader in the Russia, Russian Federation. His scientific interests include Plasma (physics), plasma physics, lasers, Fusion power, controlled nuclear fusion, power engineering, and magnetohydrodynamics (Pulsed power, high-power pulsed Magnetohydrodynamic generator, MHD generators).
