National Taipei University (NTPU; ), founded in 1949, is a national university in Taiwan which specializes in law, business, humanities, and social sciences. Before 2000, the university was named the College of Law and Business, National Chung Hsing University (). The university's main campus is in Sanxia District, New Taipei, Taiwan. National Taipei University Of Technology
National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT, Taipei Tech; ) is a public university in Taipei, Taiwan. It is a member of the Global Research & Industry Alliance (Gloria) of the Ministry of Science and Technology and accredited by AACSB. Located in the Daan district of Taipei, the school was established in 1912 as the School of Industrial Instruction, one of the earliest intermediate-higher educational institute in Taiwan. Taipei Medical University (TMU; ) in Taiwan is located in Taipei's Xinyi District. Founded as Taipei Medical College in 1960, it was renamed as Taipei Medical University in 2000. The ''Academic Ranking of World Universities'' (''ARWU''), also known as the Shanghai Ranking, is one of the annual publications of world university rankings. The league table was originally compiled and issued by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2003, making it the first global university ranking with multifarious indicators. Times Higher Education World University Rankings
The ''Times Higher Education World University Rankings'' (often referred to as the THE Rankings) is an annual publication of university rankings by the ''Times Higher Education'' (THE) magazine. The publisher had collaborated with Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) to publish the joint ''THE-QS World University Rankings'' from 2004 to 2009 before it turned to Thomson Reuters for a new ranking system from 2010 to 2013. In 2014, the magazine then signed a deal with Elsevier to provide it with the data used to compile the rankings.
