University Metro Station
University is a Tyne and Wear Metro station, serving the University of Sunderland and suburb of Ashbrooke, City of Sunderland in Tyne and Wear. It joined the network on 31 March 2002, following the opening of the extension from Pelaw to South Hylton. History The station is located on the alignment of the former Penshaw branch of the York, Newcastle and Berwick Railway, the line having closed to passengers in May 1964, following the Beeching Axe. University is the nearest station to the University of Sunderland's City Campus, with the campus located about north east of the station. The University of Sunderland is also served by the station at St. Peter's – this being the nearest to The Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St. Peter's. Universytet (Kharkiv Metro)
The Universytet ( uk, Університет, , russian: Университет) is a station on Kharkiv Metro's Saltivska Line. The station was opened on 10 August 1984 and is located beneath the '' Ploscha Svobody'', at the time, the largest square in Europe and the second largest in the world after Tiananmen Square, in the centre of Kharkiv. The station is named after the Kharkiv National University, which is located on top of the square. Up until 1994 the station was called ''Dzerzhinska'' according to the name of the square ''Poloscha Dzerzhinskoho'', (Dzherzhinsky square) after the founder of the Soviet Secret Police Felix Dzerzhinsky. Universitetet Metro Station
Universitetet ("the University") is a Metro station in the Frescati area, close to Stockholm University ''(Stockholms universitet)'', and the Museum of Natural History. It was opened on 12 January 1975 as the northern terminus of the extension from Tekniska högskolan. On 29 January 1978, the line was extended north to Mörby centrum. Since the 1990s, the art on the station consists of tiles featuring Carl von Linné and the UN Declaration of Universal Human Rights. This artwork is by Belgian and Parisian artist Françoise Schein.
