Universal Signs
''Universal Signs'' is a modern American Sign Language (ASL) film from 2008. Plot After the death of his fiancée’s daughter while in his care, Andrew (Anthony Natale), a Deaf artist, becomes a prisoner of his own mind. Tormented day and night by memories and self-blame, Andrew falls in a downward spiral of depression and anger that alienates everyone around him. Joe Renzetti
Joe Renzetti (born January 4, 1941) is an American film composer and session musician. He scores for films and television, and composes works for orchestra, chamber groups, and solo artists. Career Born in Philadelphia, Renzetti began his career as a result of Dick Clark and ''American Bandstand'', originating from Philly, Cameo-Parkway records came into existence. Robert DeMayo
Robert DeMayo is a deaf American actor, educator, and ASL translator. He is one of the subjects of '' See What I'm Saying: The Deaf Entertainers Documentary'' (2009) who the New York Times called "staggeringly talented." He has also acted in the films Universal Signs (2008) and No Ordinary Hero: The SuperDeafy Movie (2013). DeMayo met Hilari Scarl when he was working at the National Theatre of the Deaf which led to his being cast in ''See What I'm Saying''. He created a one-man comedy show about his life called ''Me Hear NONE'' which he performed at Philadelphia's ''Independence Starts Here'' festival in 2007 and then toured with. Deanne Bray (born May 14, 1971) is an American actress. Bray was born deaf and is bilingual in American Sign Language and English. Early Life and Education Bray was born in Canoga Park, Los Angeles, California and has spent most of her life in southern California being raised by her father, though she lived in Seattle for a few years with her mother and attended Washington State School for the Deaf for grade 8. Bray's father knew some basic ASL, but her mother chose not to learn to sign at all. Bray's parents made certain their daughter was instructed from an early age to speak and write English and learn American Sign Language as well, sending her through a variety of learning programs and centers to strengthen her language skills. Troy Kotsur
Troy Michael Kotsur (; born July 24, 1968) is an American actor in theater, film, and television. His supporting role in the film ''CODA'' (2021) earned him a number of accolades, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Critics' Choice Movie Award.
