Universal Music Polska Sp. z o.o. (Universal Music Poland), is a Polish subsidiary of Universal Music Group, it was founded in 1998 in Warsaw. Labels CEO is Maciej Kutak after Jan Kubicki's departure. Label was founded after PolyGram, within its Polish subsidiary was brought by Seagram and Universal Music Group was formed. UMP took over PolyGram Poland catalogue which included titles by such artists as Edyta Bartosiewicz, Renata Dąbkowska, Lidia Kopania, Kasia Kowalska and Sweet Noise among others. Although first albums under the label Universal Music Polska have been released in 1999. UMP catalogue includes also Izabelin Studio (founded in 1989) releases which have been originally brought by PolyGram Poland in 1994 which included titles by such artists as Kolaboranci, Big Day and Closterkeller among others. ''Goya'' – Polish pop music group. Founded 1995 in Warsaw, Poland. History The group was created in 1995 in the Polish capital of Warsaw. Magdalena Wójcik is the lead singer and face of the group. Magdalena Wojcik participated in numerous amateur activities in music, singing and playing guitar from a high school age. In 1993 she released her own album which was published on cassette by the publisher Dalmafon. Magdalena Wójcik caught the attention of the director of music publisher EMI, and he offered her a contract. Living in Warsaw at the time, she co-operated with the musicians Grzegorz Jędrach (guitarist), and Rafał Gorączowski (Keyboardist). Stanisław Joachim Sojka (born April 26, 1959 in Żory, Upper Silesia), also known as Stanisław Soyka, is a Polish jazz and pop singer, pianist and composer. Beginnings Sojka began performing as a boy soprano in Gliwice Cathedral Choir, when he was seven years old. The Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry ( pl, Związek Producentów Audio-Video, ZPAV) is the trade organization that represents the interests of the music industry in Poland, and the Polish chapter of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). Founded in 1991, it is authorized by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage to act as a copyright collective in the field of phonogram and videogram producers' rights.
