United States At The 2023 Pan American Games
The United States competed at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile from October 20 to November 5, 2023. This was the United States's 19th appearance at the Pan American Games, having competed at every Games since the inaugural edition in 1951. The team included 631 athletes (313 men and 318 women). Sport shooter Vincent Hancock and artistic gymnast Jordan Chiles were the country's flagbearers during the opening ceremony. Meanwhile, rugby sevens player Ryan Santos and table tennis player Lily Zhang were the country's flagbearers during the closing ceremony. United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee
The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) is the National Olympic Committee and the National Paralympic Committee for the United States. It was founded in 1895 as the United States Olympic Committee, and is headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The USOPC is one of only four NOCs in the world that also serve as the National Paralympic Committee for their country.
