United States Mixed Doubles Curling Championship
The United States Mixed Doubles Curling Championship is the national curling championship for mixed doubles curling in the United States. The winning team in the tournament represents the United States at that year's World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. History The 2021 Championship was originally planned to be held February 28 to March 6, 2021 at Great Park Ice & FivePoint Arena in Irvine, California and also be the Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials for the 2022 Winter Olympics. In December, 2020, the USCA announced that all remaining 2020–21 events would be either cancelled or postponed until late spring 2021. This postponement delayed the Mixed Doubles Championship until after the 2021 World Mixed Doubles Championship and so the 2020 champions, Tabitha Peterson and Joe Polo, were selected to represent the United States. Sean Beighton
Sean Beighton (born November 22, 1988) is an American curler from Seattle, Washington. Career During his years of junior eligibility, Beighton was active as a skip. He won the national junior championship in 2010, which gave him the opportunity to represent the United States at the 2010 World Junior Curling Championships, where he finished in ninth place with a 1–8 win–loss record. Beighton also skipped a team which included former national university champion Blake Morton at the qualifying tournament for the 2013 Winter University Games, but finished third. Beighton played at the 2011 United States Men's Curling Championship as second under Jason Larway, but finished in ninth place and earned the nickname 'Chester.' Sharon Vukich
Sharon Vukich is an American curler from Seattle, Washington. She is a two-time women's national Champion, two-time senior women's national champion, and one-time mixed doubles national champion. Curling career Vukich skipped her team to gold at the United States Championship twice, in 1980 and 1987. As champion she represented the United States at the World Championships those years, finishing in fourth and fifth place, respectively. She returned to national prominence with back-to-back gold medals at the United States Senior Championships in 2009 and 2010. At World's they finished sixth and fourth places, respectively. In 2010 she also won the Mixed Doubles National Championship with teammate Mike Calcagno. Two Harbors is a city in and the county seat of Lake County, Minnesota, United States, along the shore of Lake Superior. The population was 3,633 at the 2020 census. Brady Clark (born September 12, 1977) is an American curler from Lynnwood, Washington. Clark is a ten-time national mixed champion, three-time national mixed doubles champion, and two-time national men's champion (2013 & 2016). He has played in three World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships and one World Men's Championship. Career As a junior, Clark played in five national junior championships, placing 3rd in 1998 and 1999. He also won the National College Tournament in 1999.
