The 2010 congressional elections in Colorado were held on November 2, 2010 to determine who will represent the state of Colorado in the United States House of Representatives. Representatives are elected for two-year terms; those elected will serve in the 112th Congress. Colorado has seven seats in the House, apportioned according to the 2000 United States Census. Its 2008-2009 congressional delegation consisted of five Democrats and two Republicans. Colorado's 7th Congressional District
Colorado's 7th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Colorado. Formerly located only in the northeast part of the state, the district now encompasses the western parts of the Denver metropolitan area, including Golden, Lakewood, Arvada and Broomfield, along with the central Colorado counties of Jefferson, Park, Teller, Lake, Chaffee, Fremont, and Custer. The district has been represented by Democrat Brittany Pettersen since 2023. John Salazar
John Tony Salazar (born July 21, 1953) is an American politician who served as the U.S. representative for from 2005 until 2011. A member of the Democratic Party, he was appointed Commissioner of the Colorado Department of Agriculture in the Cabinet of Governor John Hickenlooper in 2011, following his electoral defeat in 2010. The City of Idaho Springs is the Statutory City that is the most populous municipality in Clear Creek County, Colorado, United States.
