United States Army Corrections Facility-Europe
United States Army Regional Correctional Facility – Europe (USARCF-E) is the only Department of Defense, Level 1 corrections facility in the European theater and is located on the outskirts of Coleman Army Airfield near Mannheim, Germany. USACF-E falls up under the 18th MP BDE. At the same time reports directly to the United States Army Corrections Command in Alexandria, Virginia. Mission statement The United States Army Regional Correctional Facility-Europe provides level 1 pre-trial and post-trial correctional services, conducts prisoner transfers to Contiguous United States (CONUS) correctional facilities, and on order provides advisory teams in support of full spectrum operations. Coleman Army Airfield
Coleman Barracks/Coleman Army Airfield ( ICAO: ETOR) is a United States Army military installation located in the Sandhofen district of Mannheim, Germany. It is assigned to U.S. Army, Europe (USAREUR) and administered by the U.S. Army Installation Management Command-Europe (IMCOM-E). Coleman Barracks should not be confused with the former " Coleman Kaserne", located in Gelnhausen. The U.S. Army named the airfield after Lieutenant Colonel Wilson D. Coleman, who was killed in action in France on 30 July 1944. 18th Military Police Brigade (United States)
The 18th Military Police Brigade is a military police brigade of the United States Army based in Vilseck, Germany, with subordinate battalions and companies stationed throughout Germany. It provides law enforcement and force protection duties to United States Army Europe. Activated during the Vietnam War, the Brigade oversaw all Military Police operations in the country for a large portion of the conflict, undertaking a wide variety of missions throughout the country and providing command and control for other military police groups in the region. After Vietnam, the Brigade deployed units to several other operations, namely Operation Desert Storm and Operation Provide Comfort. The brigade itself also deployed to Kosovo, supporting many of the units operating there attempting to settle unrest in the area due to the 1999 Bosnian War. Sembach Kaserne is a United States Army post in Donnersbergkreis, Germany, near Kaiserslautern, and is about 19 miles (30 km) east of Ramstein Air Base. Prior to 2010, the installation was a United States Air Force installation and prior to 1995 it was a U.S. military airfield known as Sembach Air Base.
