UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Women's Team is a professional Women's road bicycle racing team, run by Momentum Sports Group and based in the United States. The team is sponsored principally by UnitedHealth Group. The team's most notable signing is the 2013 Giro Rosa overall winner Mara Abbott. The team made its debut at the inaugural Tour Femenino de San Luis. The team disbanded at the end of the 2018 season. Leah Thomas (born May 30, 1989) is an American professional racing cyclist who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Early life Thomas grew up as a competitive gymnast in the Bay Area. She competed in Central Coast Section for Monta Vista High School Thomas graduated from Monta Vista High School in 2007 and from Northwestern University in 2011. She began running during her time at Northwestern, but due to injury, she was forced to stop. She began cycling shortly thereafter. In 2013 she moved to northeastern Arizona to teach, and she began to delve deeper into cycling there. She moved back to the Bay Area in 2014 to ride and live with her parents. Hannah Mary Barnes (born 4 May 1993) is a British racing cyclist, who rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . She is the sister of fellow racing cyclist Alice Barnes, who rides for . Career Born in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, Barnes grew up in Bladon, Oxfordshire and later moved to Towcester, Northamptonshire. Barnes began cycling with Milton Keynes based Team Keyne at the age of 10, before joining Palmer Park Velo in Reading after she was spotted and invited to join British Cycling's Talent Team.
