Kristin Armstrong
Kristin Armstrong Savola (; born August 11, 1973) is a former professional road bicycle racer and three-time Olympic gold medalist, the winner of the women's individual time trial in 2008, 2012, and 2016. Before temporarily retiring to start a family in 2009, she rode for in women's elite professional events on the National Racing Calendar (NRC) and UCI Women's World Cup. She announced a return to competitive cycling beginning in the 2011 season, competing for Peanut Butter & Co. TWENTY12 at the Redlands Classic. Background Prior to her professional cycling career, Armstrong had been a junior Olympian in swimming, a distance runner in college, and then a triathlete. Jennifer Marie Valente (born December 24, 1994) is an American professional racing cyclist who is the gold medal winner of the women's omnium at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Valente has ridden for UCI Women's Team . She has won multiple gold medals in team pursuit championships, and won an Olympic silver medal in the team pursuit in 2016. Career She enjoyed a successful junior career, winning 12 national titles and one world junior title. At the 2011 and 2012 UCI Junior Track World Championships she won three medals, a gold medal in the scratch race and two bronze medals in the keirin. Ruth Joyce Winder (born July 9, 1993) is a British-born American professional cyclist. She took up the sport as a teenager, and went on to turn professional with in 2014. In July 2021 Winder announced that she would retire from professional competition at the end of the season. Kelly Catlin
Kelly Catlin (November 3, 1995 – March 7, 2019) was an American professional racing cyclist who rode for UCI Women's Team . Catlin won gold medals in the women's team pursuit at the 2016, 2017, and 2018 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. She also won a silver medal in the same event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Biography Catlin was born in St. Paul, Minnesota; she was a triplet, with a brother and sister. She earned a degree in mathematics and Chinese from the University of Minnesota, and was studying at Stanford University for a graduate degree in computational and mathematical engineering. In addition to her career as a professional road cyclist, Catlin was an artist and a violinist. Catlin died on March 7, 2019, at Stanford University following an episode of depression.
