Village People is an American disco group known for its on-stage costumes and suggestive lyrics in their music. Maurizio De Jorio (born September 24, 1968) is an Italian singer, active since 1991. Maurizio De Jorio was born in Trento, Italy. De Jorio became involved in mainstream musical production in the mid-1980s. The song itself is a cover of the Eurobeat classic, previously recorded in English by the Italian artist Niko in 1999 and composed by Bratt Sinclaire, which also appeared in the popular anime and manga series, Initial D. is a Japanese enka singer, lyricist, actor and composer. Background He was born Minoru Ōno (大野 穣), in Shiriuchi, Hokkaidō, to a fisherman. He was very poor due to the effects of World War II, and was forced to work while he studied. Music career When he was about to graduate from high school, he decided to become a singer. The single also marked the debut of the "Third Generation" member Maki Goto and the departure of Aya Ishiguro. Packaging The original 8 cm CD release was housed in a J-card-type 12 cm slimline single case instead of the then-industry CD snap-pack packaging. The case used was 7 mm thick, showing artwork through the front, and also through the spine and part of the back of the case. The CD itself was inserted upside-down, allowing the artwork on the disc itself to show through the transparent back of the case.
