The Union Avenue is an American Graded stakes race, ungraded Thoroughbred horse race run annually at Saratoga Race Course. The race is restricted to Filly, fillies and mares 3-years-old and up who were bred in the New York (state), State of New York. It is raced at a current (2014) distance of six and one half furlongs on the dirt and offers a purse of $100,000 added. The Union Avenue, inaugurated in 2004, is named for the famed street in Saratoga Springs, New York where the track is located. Union Avenue Historic District is a historic district in Saratoga Springs, New York. It was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1978. It includes at least the Congress Park portion of the Canfield Casino and Congress Park, a U.S. National Historic Landmark District. The name reflects the presence of mineral springs in the area, which has made Saratoga a popular resort destination for over 200 years. The Union Avenue Historic Commercial District is a century-old business district in Pueblo, Colorado, United States. The district comprises sixty-nine contributing properties in a total area of including the Union Depot, Vail Hotel and Quaker Flour Mill. In 1983, the district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The historic district was originally located within South Pueblo and Central Pueblo, two small cities until incorporated into Pueblo, Colorado which combined South Pueblo, Central Pueblo, Pueblo and Bessemer into one municipality. While still South Pueblo, Bat Masterson, best known for his association with Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday was brought in as sheriff to protect a railroad that was being built. Union Avenue Bridge (Passaic River)
Union Avenue Bridge is a vehicular bridge over the Passaic River in northeastern New Jersey, crossing the county line at the town of Rutherford in Bergen County and the city of Passaic in Passaic County. It takes its name from Union Avenue ( CR S32) in Rutherford which connects to River Drive (and access to Route 21) in Passaic. The two-lane, four-span fixed bridge which opened in 2002 is from the river's mouth at Newark Bay. There is another Union Avenue Bridge traversing the Passaic at Little Falls History The bridge replaced an earlier structure built in 1896. In 1963 it was struck by a barge which left it damaged; requiring it remain in the open position for two weeks. It was dedicated to Douglas O. The Union Avenue Line was a public transit line in Brooklyn, New York City, United States, running mostly along Myrtle Avenue, Knickerbocker Avenue, Flushing Avenue, Throop Avenue, and Union Avenue from Ridgewood, Queens northwest to Greenpoint, Brooklyn. History The Calvary Cemetery, Greenpoint and Brooklyn Railroad began operating the Calvary Cemetery Line on Greenpoint Avenue, from Greenpoint Ferry in Brooklyn east across the Blissville Bridge over Newtown Creek to Calvary Cemetery in Queens, in the mid-1880s. This route ran along part of the Bushwick Railroad's Bushwick Avenue Line west of Manhattan Avenue. On April 21, 1887, the Brooklyn Crosstown Railroad, which operated on Manhattan Avenue, bought the company, which was not profitable. California State Route 204
State Route 204 (SR 204) is a state highway in the U.S. state of California that connects SR 58 and SR 99 in the Bakersfield area. Passing through downtown Bakersfield, SR 204 also connects Bakersfield's three major freeways together (SR 99, SR 58, and SR 178). Only the northern has been built to freeway standards; the rest is a six-lane arterial road. All of SR 204 is a part of State Route 99 Business (SR 99 Bus.). The business route continues south of SR 58 to Greenfield en route to SR 99. Route description SR 204 begins as a six-lane arterial at SR 58 as Union Avenue. From there, the route travels north on Union Avenue. After intersecting California Avenue, SR 204 crosses underneath the Truxtun Avenue interchange.
