Unibet.com Cycling Team
Cycle Collstrop () was a Swedish UCI Professional Continental cycling team. It was the successor to Unibet.com, which was mainly sponsored by the online gambling website Unibet.com and as a continuation of the MrBookmaker.com cycling team. The team rode on the European Continental Circuit, until the beginning of the 2007 season, when they were granted a ProTour licence. In 2008, they were awarded a Professional Continental licence. The new team was led by Steffen Wesemann, and problems previously experienced through having had sponsorship from a betting company were avoided with new sponsorship from a wooden flooring company. Unibet.com had also been drawn into the ''Operación Puerto'' doping investigation. The cyclist Carlos Quesada was named by the Spanish authorities as a patient of Dr. Eufemiano Fuentes and was suspended by the team. Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on paved roads. Parimutuel betting or pool betting is a betting system in which all bets of a particular type are placed together in a pool; taxes and the "house-take" or "vigorish" are deducted, and payoff odds are calculated by sharing the pool among all winning bets. Paolo Bettini (born 1 April 1974 in Cecina, Livorno, Tuscany) is an Italian former champion road racing cyclist, and the former coach of the Italian national cycling team. Considered the best classics specialist of his generation, and probably one of the strongest of all times, he won gold medals in the 2004 Athens Olympics road race and in the 2006 and 2007 World Road Race Championships. Filippo "Pippo" Pozzato (born 10 September 1981) is an Italian former road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2000 and 2018 for the , , , , , , and two spells with the / teams. A northern classics specialist, Pozzato finished in second place at both the 2009 Paris–Roubaix and the 2012 Tour of Flanders. Pozzato finished a total of 37 Monument classics, including a victory in the 2006 Milan–San Remo; he finished second in the race in 2008 as well. Jeremy Hunt (born 12 March 1974) is a British former road racing cyclist who raced for numerous years mainly a sprinter. Hunt was the winner of the British National Road Race Championships in 1997 and 2001. He now works as a directeur sportif for UCI Continental team . Career Hunt was born in Canada and grew up in England, firstly in Bury before moving to Devon. His father had been an amateur racing cyclist, and as a teenager in Devon Hunt was coached by former Tour de France rider Colin Lewis. He pursued his career in northern France before turning professional.
