Yyrkoon (band)
Yyrkoon ( ) is a French death metal band. The main lyrical themes revolve around occultism, horror/fantasy, and members' personal philosophies. The name Yyrkoon is derived from the name of Elric of Melniboné's cousin in Michael Moorcock's fantasy series. Biography Demos, ''Oniric Transition'' The band was formed in 1995 by Stéphane Souteyrand (guitar & keyboards), Laurent Harrouart (drums), Paul Banas (vocals & guitar), and Sébastien Caron (bass guitar). One year later, Yyrkoon decided to self-record the first 5-song demo tape, ''Oath, Obscure, Occult…'', which included unique sounds to typical death metal like female vocals, violin, and flute. This tape was well received in the underground. The demo was sent to different French labels and Velvet Music International signed the band. Andy LaRocque (born Anders Allhage, 29 November 1962) is a Swedish guitarist, songwriter, and producer, best known as a member of the Heavy metal music, heavy metal band King Diamond (band), King Diamond since 1985. Biography LaRocque started in the Swedish hard rock band Swedish Beauty, which later changed its name to Swedish Erotica. He also played on the Death (metal band), Death album ''Individual Thought Patterns'' and the IllWill album ''Evilution (album), Evilution'', along with former members of Mercyful Fate. He can be heard on other albums as well, such as Falconer (band), Falconer's ''Chapters from a Vale Forlorn'', where he performed lead guitars on the song "Busted to the Floor". Dementia is a disorder which manifests as a set of related symptoms, which usually surfaces when the brain is damaged by injury or disease.
