''Unglued'' is a Magic: The Gathering expansion set, the first satirical, non-tournament-legal List of Magic: The Gathering sets#Expansion sets, expansion set released. It came out in August 1998. Its symbol is a cracked egg (biology), egg. Among the themes of the set were chicken, dice rolling and multiplayer Magic games. History ''Unglued'' was originally conceived by then-lead Magic designer Joel Mick and fellow designer Bill Rose. Having helped in the creation of many of the expansion sets of the time, they began talking about cards which were cut from the expansion or were unplayable, based on the rules of the game. The trading card game ''Magic: The Gathering'' has released a large number of sets since it was first published by Wizards of the Coast. After the 1993 release of ''Limited Edition'', also known as Alpha and Beta, roughly 3-4 major sets have been released per year, in addition to various spin-off products. ''Magic'' has made three types of sets since Alpha and Beta: base/core sets, expansion sets, and compilation sets. Expansion sets are the most numerous and prevalent type of expansion; they primarily consist of new cards, with few or no reprints, and either explore a new setting, or advance the plot in an existing setting. A limerick ( ) is a form of verse, usually humorous and frequently rude, in five-line, predominantly trimeter with a strict rhyme scheme of AABBA, in which the first, second and fifth line rhyme, while the third and fourth lines are shorter and share a different rhyme. The following example is a limerick of unknown origin: The form appeared in England in the early years of the 18th century. It was popularized by Edward Lear in the 19th century, although he did not use the term. Chia Pet
Chia Pets are American styled terracotta figurines used to sprout chia, where the chia sprouts grow within a couple of weeks to resemble the animal's fur or hair. Moistened chia seeds (''Salvia hispanica'') are applied to a grooved terracotta figurine. The Chia Pet is marketed by Joe Pedott and produced by San Francisco, California-based company Joseph Enterprises, Inc. He originally developed the idea for Chia Pets after visiting Mexico and seeing Oaxacan artisans using sprouted chia seeds in their artwork. The first Chia Pet was created on September 8, 1977. A trademark registration was filed on Monday, October 17, 1977. Jeff Grubb (born August 27, 1957) is an author who writes novels, short stories, and comics and a computer and role-playing game designer in the fantasy genre.
