Unforgivable Sinner
"Unforgivable Sinner" is a song written and performed by Norwegian singer-songwriter Lene Marlin, released as her debut single on 12 October 1998 from her 1999 album, ''Playing My Game''. The song reached number one in Norway and number two in Italy, commencing a successful period of hits for Marlin in both countries. In the former nation, it was certified platinum and was the first song by a debut act to enter the chart at number one. The song also reached the top 10 in Sweden and the top 20 in the United Kingdom. There were three different music videos made for the song. Critical reception ''Birmingham Evening Mail'' called the song a "mature" debut, describing it as the "sort of mid-tempo, intense material somebody like Natalie Imbruglia would release." Lene Marlin (born Lene Marlin Pedersen; 17 August 1980) is a Norwegian musician, singer, and songwriter. Biography ''Playing My Game'' (1998–2002) Marlin was born in Tromsø, Norway. She made her Norwegian recording debut on 12 October 1998, with the single " Unforgivable Sinner", a number one hit for eight weeks. It was the fastest selling single in Norwegian music history, and appeared in the soundtrack of the Norwegian movie ''Schpaaa''. Her first album, ''Playing My Game'', followed. Multiple record charts have been inaugurated in Romania since the 1990s. The Romanian Top 100 was the country's national chart until 2012. Founded in 1995, it was a ranking based on the compilation of charts submitted by local Romanian radio stations. The Romanian Top 100 was published weekly and was also announced during a radio show starting in 1998. Compilation of the list was first handled by Body M Production A-V, followed by Media Forest. In the 2010s, the chart was announced during a podcast on Kiss FM, but the broadcast ended in February 2012.
