"Undone" is a song by New Zealand band Stellar*, released in November 2000 as the fourth single from their debut album, ''Mix'' (1999). The single includes the international version of "Violent"'s music video, directed by Jonathan King, as an extra element. "Undone" reached number 13 on New Zealand's RIANZ Singles Chart chart in January 2000 and charted for 12 weeks. Background According to bass player Kurt Shanks, "Undone" was the last song recorded for ''Mix''. Stellar (New Zealand Band)
Stellar (stylised stellar*) is a New Zealand pop/rock band led by vocalist Boh Runga, sister of acclaimed recording artist Bic Runga. They have had four RIANZ top 10 singles (the highest being " Every Girl" at #3) and two No. 1 albums. The band's signature song is "Violent", which at the 2000 New Zealand Music Awards won the Single of the Year award, as well as winning Runga an award for best Songwriter. The band won seven awards, among them the Best Album award for their debut, '' Mix''. This was followed up by 2001's '' Magic Line'' and 2006's '' Something Like Strangers''. The band officially disbanded in 2010 after releasing their greatest hits compilation, and reformed in 2017. ''Mix'' is the debut studio album by New Zealand pop rock band Stellar, released by Sony BMG on 29 July 1999. The album debuted at No. 2 on the RIANZ albums chart, and after seven weeks within the top ten, reached number one. The album was certified 5× platinum, after selling over 75,000 copies in New Zealand. The album was re-released on 18 February 2000 as a limited edition which included new cover art and a bonus CD-Rom that included the music videos for the singles " Part of Me", "Violent" and " Every Girl", as well as three remixes (these had appeared on previous singles) and an 8-minute documentary. All subsequent pressings of the album also featured the new cover. ''Mix'' was the 22nd best-selling album in 2000 in New Zealand. Violent is New Zealand band Stellar*'s fourth single, and their third single from their debut album Mix. This song won the "Single of the Year" award at the 2000 New Zealand "Tui" Music Awards. The song was featured on the Nature's Best 2 compilation of what were voted the top 100 New Zealand songs from 1926 until 2001 by APRA to celebrate their 75th anniversary. Judging by the track list, Violent was placed at #46 in this list. The single spent six weeks within the top 20 in the RIANZ singles charts, peaking at #11. Gavin Campbell is an Australian club DJ and remixer based in Melbourne, Victoria. He created the dance music production outfit known as Filthy Lucre, which is known for its 1991 remix of Yothu Yindi's single, "Treaty", known as " Treaty (Filthy Lucre remix)". He is also the founder of Razor Recordings, formerly known as Razor Records. DJ Gavin Campbell was a renowned DJ at many Melbourne clubs of the 1980s and 1990s, including the highly successful Razor, along with Tasty, Savage, Bump! and others. Boh Runga
Boh Runga (born 1969/1970) is a New Zealand recording artist and was the lead singer and guitarist in New Zealand rock band Stellar. Boh is the older sister of Bic Runga and Pearl Runga who are also musicians. Early life Boh grew up in Christchurch, New Zealand. She is the daughter of Joseph Runga, a Maori ex-serviceman and Sophia Tang, a Chinese singer who abandoned her own music career in Malaysia to join Joseph in his home country. Joseph was a self-taught pianist and died in 2005 from a heart attack. Runga is of Ngāti Kahungunu descent. Boh left Christchurch for Auckland to form Stellar in the late 1990s. Thomas Alexander Bailey (born 18 January 1956) is an English singer, songwriter, musician, composer and record producer. Bailey came to prominence in the early 1980s as the lead vocalist for the new wave band Thompson Twins, which released five singles that entered the top ten charts in the United Kingdom during the 1980s: " Love On Your Side", " We Are Detective", " Hold Me Now", "Doctor! "Every Girl" is a song by New Zealand band Stellar*, released as the fifth and final single from their debut album, '' Mix'' (1999). It is the band's highest-charting single in their home country, reaching number three on the RIANZ Singles Chart. The single was also released in Australia several months later with a different cover artwork. Track two of the single is billed as "Stellar vs International Observer" and is a dub remix of the band's "Violent" single.
