Undercover Cat
''Undercover Cat'' is a novel by The Gordons (writers), Gordon and Mildred Gordon, about a cat who assists the FBI in tracking down a pair of bank robbers. It was first published in 1963 by Doubleday. It has been adapted to a live-action Disney film twice, as ''That Darn Cat! (1965 film), That Darn Cat!'' (1965) and ''That Darn Cat (1997 film), That Darn Cat'' (1997). Two sequels were written by the Gordons: ''Undercover Cat Prowls Again'' (Doubleday, 1966) and ''Catnapped! The Further Adventures of Undercover Cat'' (Doubleday, 1974). Plot summary Damn Cat or DC, is in the habit of prowling the neighborhood at night and stealing food from a neighbour named Greg. The Gordons were crime fiction authors Gordon Gordon (born March 12, 1906, Anderson, Indiana – died March 14, 2002), and his wife, Mildred Nixon Gordon (born June 24, 1912, Kansas – died February 3, 1979, Tucson, Arizona). Both attended the University of Arizona where they met and later married in 1932. ''That Darn Cat!'' is a 1965 American thriller comedy film directed by Robert Stevenson and starring Hayley Mills and Dean Jones in a story about bank robbers, a kidnapping and a mischievous cat; produced by Walt Disney Productions. ''That Darn Cat'' is a 1997 American mystery comedy film directed by Bob Spiers, written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, and starring Christina Ricci and Doug E. Doug.
