Let's Rock (The Black Keys Album)
''Let's Rock'' (stylized with single quotation marks) is the ninth studio album by American rock duo the Black Keys. It was released on June 28, 2019, through Easy Eye Sound/Nonesuch Records. It was their first release since '' Turn Blue'' (2014), marking the longest gap between studio albums in their career. After collaborating with producer Danger Mouse for their previous four records, the duo decided to self-produce ''Let's Rock'' and to eschew keyboards in favor of a basic recording approach of guitar, drums, and vocals. Drummer Patrick Carney called the album "an homage to electric guitar". ''Let's Rock'' was preceded by the singles " Lo/Hi", "Eagle Birds", and "Go". "Lo/Hi" topped ''Billboard''s Mainstream Rock, Adult Alternative Songs, Rock Airplay, and Alternative Songs charts in the US simultaneously, making it the first song ever to do so. ''Let's Rock'' received generally positive reviews, with many critics calling it a well-crafted if unoriginal album. Background T ...

Animalize

The album marked the only appearance by lead guitarist Mark St. John, who replaced Vinnie Vincent in April 1984. Background At the time of the record's release, Gene Simmons was pursuing a career in acting. Paul Stanley was thus primarily in charge of the album's production and direction. While he accompanied the group on tour and convalesced, the group hired Bruce Kulick as a temporary replacement. Kulick gelled with the band's personalities and playing styles better than St. John; by November 1984, St. John was fired and replaced by Kulick permanen ...

Perfect Strangers (album)
''Perfect Strangers'' is the eleventh studio album by the British rock band Deep Purple, released on 29 October 1984. It was the most successful album recorded by the re-formed 'Mark II' line-up. It was the first Deep Purple studio album in nine years, and the first with the Mk II line-up in eleven years, the last being ''Who Do We Think We Are'' in 1973. Ritchie Blackmore and Roger Glover arrived from Rainbow, Ian Gillan from Black Sabbath, Jon Lord from Whitesnake, and Ian Paice from Gary Moore's backing band. Just one song in the reformed Deep Purple’s new repertoire, "Nobody’s Home", would be credited to all five band members. Gillan and Glover attempted to return matters to the all-for-one composition credits of the Mk II lineup's 1970–73 recordings, but Blackmore held firm. It was not until Blackmore left the group in 1993 that the issue was finally resolved. The CD and cassette versions of the album contained the extra track "Not Responsible" (which contains th ...
