''Under Milk Wood'' (Welsh version: ''Dan y Wenallt'') is a 2015 Welsh drama film based on the radio drama of the same name by Dylan Thomas. It is adapted and directed by Kevin Allen. The narrator is Rhys Ifans. The film was selected as the British entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards but not nominated. Kevin Allen (director)
Kevin Edward Allen (born 15 September 1959) is a British actor, director, producer and writer. Allen came to prominence with the 1991 BBC film ''On the March with Bobby's Army'', and for writing and directing his debut feature film, ''Twin Town'', in 1997. He directed and co-wrote the movie adaptation of Dylan Thomas' "Under Milk Wood", submitted for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2015 Oscars ceremony but not nominated, the Hollywood feature films, '' The Big Tease'' and '' Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London'', and the first series of ITV's '' Benidorm'', along with numerous other films and documentaries. Nia Roberts (actress)
Nia Roberts (born 5 July 1972) is a Welsh actress. She is married to director Marc Evans. Biography The youngest of three girls, Roberts was born and brought up in Brecon, Powys. Her first language is Welsh, and she attended Brecon's Welsh-medium primary school Ysgol-y-Bannau from 1975 to 1983. Her family were active members of the Brecon Little Theatre amateur dramatics group, and aged seven she first trod the boards. Five years later, she landed her first television role as the lead girl in "The Farm", a 30-minute '' Jackanory'' play for BBC1. After gaining ten GCSEs and three A Levels, she also joined the National Youth Theatre of Wales. She then studied acting at Birmingham University, where she passed with distinction. Solva
Solva ( cy, Solfach) is a village, community and electoral ward in Pembrokeshire, Wales. The village comprises principally Lower Solva and Upper Solva. The community also includes Middle Mill and Whitchurch. Location Solva lies on the north side of St Bride's Bay, in North Pembrokeshire in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Richard Burton (; born Richard Walter Jenkins Jr.; 10 November 1925 – 5 August 1984) was a Welsh actor.
