Background The song is very personal, written by Andre himself depicting his relationship with stepson Harvey Price, who is the son of his ex-wife Katie Price. Andre says that he "became a father before he became a dad", meaning that Harvey taught him how to become a dad before actually becoming a biological dad to Junior and Princess Tiaamii. Andre gained popularity as a singer, best known for his singles "Mysterious Girl" and " Flava". Background Following a further three years away from the music industry, Andre had been quietly writing and recording new material. Andre was offered a recording contract with Conehead Management following the success of his ITV2 fly-on-the-wall documentary, Peter Andre: The Next Chapter. The song was written by Andre, AC Burrell and Francesca "Francci" Richard. The song had its first airplay on Chris Moyles' BBC Radio 1 show and received heavy airplay on music channels. The lyrics in the song reflect when Andre and Katie Price publicised their relationship which resulted in divorce in May 2009. He debuted the song at T4 on the Beach on 19 July 2009.
