''The Headless Woman'' ( es, Una mujer sin cabeza) is an Argentine comedy film directed by Luis César Amadori and stars Niní Marshall. It is a parody of the horror genre and the title alludes to the trick called "The Aztec Flower" that was used in shows, which makes the head of a woman appear separated from the body and located on a vase. Luis César Amadori (28 May 1902 in Pescara, Abruzzi, Italy – 5 June 1977 in Buenos Aires) was an Italian - Argentine film director and screenwriter and one of the most influential directors in the Cinema of Argentina of the classic era. He directed over 60 films between 1936 and 1967, writing the scripts to over 50 pictures. Marina Esther Traveso (June 1, 1903 – March 18, 1996), known by her stage name Niní Marshall, was an Argentine humorist, comic actress and screenwriter; nicknamed ''The Chaplin with a skirt'' and ''The Lady of Humour''. Life and work She was born in Buenos Aires to Pedro and María Ángela Traveso, a well-to-do family in 1903. Losing her father at two months of age, she was raised by her mother, who affectionately called her "Niní."
