''Una Mujer'' ''(A Woman)'' is the first studio album with new unreleased songs of Myriam. Before the success her debut album was a lot of composer got interested in sending songs for Myriam. Soraya, Mr. Manzanero, Claudia Brant are some of the writers that participated in this album. It was released in March 2003, the album broke all the records and expectecions everyone had. Myriam Montemayor Cruz (born February 8, 1981, Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico), better known mononymously as Myriam, is a Mexican recording artist, known for winning the first season of Mexican talent show ''La Academia''. Biography Myriam grew up in a home with many brothers and sisters. Since she was a child, she dreamed of becoming a singer. Her musical career began in Monterrey with musical groups such as Obsesión, Conspiración, Ébano, Liberación and Compass. In 2002, she was selected for the Mexican musical reality TV show ''La Academia''. During this show she sang "Como la Flor", "Mudanzas", "De mi enamorate", "Él me mintió" and other songs. Her charm and personality, as well as her great interpretative talent, propelled her to become one of the most popular persons in the reality show. Myriam is the second studio album by Myriam. On her website it is also called "Myriam: Lo que Soy, lo que Pretendo y lo que Fui" (''Myriam: What I Am, What I Pretend and What I Was'') making reference to the lyrics of the album's first single "Hasta El Limite". It includes eleven songs with the collaboration of Tiziano Ferro, Leonel (ex Sin Bandera). Again Myriam co-wrote a song along with Estrella. In this album Myriam brought a more fresh concept, almost 100% pop genre with a little touches of flamenco. It was released in July, 2004. Armando Manzanero
Armando Manzanero Canché (7 December 1935 – 28 December 2020) was a Mexican Maya peoples, Mayan musician, singer, composer, actor and music producer, widely considered the premier Mexican romantic composer of the postwar era and one of the most successful composers of Latin America. He received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in the United States in 2014. He was the president of the Mexican Society of Authors and Composers (Sociedad de Autores y Compositores de México). Early life Manzanero was born in Ticul, Yucatán on 7 December 1935. His father was singer and composer Santiago Manzanero and his mother Juanita Canché Baqueiro played the jarana jarocha. Soraya Raquel Lamilla Cuevas (March 11, 1969 – May 10, 2006) was a Colombian-American singer/songwriter, guitarist, arranger and record producer. A successful Colombian music star, she had two number-one songs on Billboard's Latin Pop Airplay charts. She won a 2004 Latin Grammy Award for "Best Album by Songwriter" for the self-titled album ''Soraya'', which she produced, and received a 2005 Latin Grammy Award nomination for "Female Pop Vocal Album" for her album '' El Otro Lado de Mi'' (literally "The Other Side of Me"). She was the opening act for the 2005 Billboard Latin Music Awards. Her career spanned ten years, and she recorded five albums. Soraya died on May 10, 2006 following a long struggle against breast cancer.
