Umut Nayir
Mehmet Umut Nayir (born 28 June 1993) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Ümraniyespor, on loan from Eyüpspor, and the Turkey national team. Career Nayir is a youth product of Albayrak and Ankaragücü. In October 2012, he signed his first professional contract with Ankaragücü. On 30 January 2015, he transferred to Osmanlıspor in the Süper Lig. He made his professional debut for Osmanlıspor in a 1–1 Süper Lig tie with Kayserispor on 16 August 2015, scoring his side's only goal in his debut. On 16 June 2016, he moved to Yeni Malatyaspor on loan. Shortly after he joined Göztepe on loan for the 2016-17 season. He went on another loan the following season to Ankaragücü. Nayir moved to Beşiktaş in July of 2018. A few weeks after signing he moved to Bursaspor on loan for the 2018-19 season. 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games
The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games ( tr, 2021 İslami Dayanışma Oyunları) were the 5th edition of the event held from 9 to 18 August 2022 at Konya, Turkey under the aegis of Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF). It was the first time in history that the event was organised by the Turkish Olympic Committee. Formerly scheduled to take place from 20 to 29 August 2021, the event was postponed to be held from 10 to 19 September 2021 in July 2020 by the ISSF because the original dates were coinciding with the 2020 Summer Olympics, which were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In May 2021, the ISSF postponed the event to August 2022 citing the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the participating countries. Association football, Football at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games was a football competition that held between 8-16 August 2022 at Konya Metropolitan Municipality Stadium and Karatay Mehmet Otkut Football Field in Konya, Turkey. All players participating in the preliminary and final competitions of the tournament must be born on or after 1 January 1998 (U23). However, up to three male athletes who do not meet this age limit might also be included in the official list of athletes for the final competition. A maximum of 8 teams competed. Teams was divided into 2 groups and there were 4 teams in each group. Turkey won the first gold medal in the tournament, by beating Saudi Arabia 1–0 in the final. Islamic Solidarity Games
The Islamic Solidarity Games ( ar, ألعاب التضامن الإسلامي) is a multinational, multi-sport event. The Games involve the elite athletes of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation who compete in a variety of sports. The Solidarity Games were initially created to strengthen Islamic camaraderie and reinforce the values of Islam, primarily to the youth. The Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF) and the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is the organization that is responsible for the direction and control of the Islamic Solidarity Games. The ISSF strives to improve Islamic solidarity, promote Islamic identity in sports and help reduce discrimination toward Muslims. History The original idea for the Solidarity Games comes from Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, during the Third Islamic Summit in 1981.
