Umesh Harijan
Umesh Harijan (born 8 July 1992) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a forward for South United F.C. in the I-League 2nd Division. Career Born in Goa, Harijan was a part of the SESA Football Academy. He then joined I-League club Salgaocar before the 2014–15 season. He made his debut for the club on 24 May 2015 against Bharat FC. Harijan started the match and played 68 minutes as Salgaocar won 5–1. International Harijan represented Goa during the 2014 Lusophony Games. He scored the opening goal for Goa in their 2–1 victory over Mozambique. Bharat FC
Bharat FC (also known as Kalyani Bharat FC) was an Indian professional football team based in Pune, Maharashtra that competed in the I-League, then top tier of Indian football league system. The team was founded on 26 August 2014 by Kalyani Group as a direct-entry team into the I-League, making them the second direct-entry side in league history after Bengaluru FC. The name of the team, as well as their home stadium, the Balewadi Sports Complex, were officially announced on 23 November 2014. 2014 Lusophony Games
The 2014 Lusophone Games was the 3rd edition of the Lusophone Games, a multi-sport event that represent athletes from Portuguese-speaking countries and territories. It was held from 18 to 29 January 2014 in the Indian state of Goa. Brazil and Sri Lanka also put in bids to stage the event. Participating delegations represented every Portuguese-speaking National Olympic Committee and other countries with historic ties to Portugal. The Chairman for these Games was Manohar Parrikar, the chief minister of Goa and the Chief Executive Officer was Keshav Chandra IAS, Secretary to the Government of Goa for Sports and Education. The Games were originally planned to be held in 2013, but was postponed and moved to the January 2014 dates. The 2014–15 I-League (known as the ''Hero I-League'' for sponsorship reasons) was the eighth season of the I-League, the Indian professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2007. I-League
The I-League (known as Hero I-League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp) is the second-tier men's professional football competition of the Indian football league system. It is currently contested by 12 clubs across the country with the winners getting promotion to play in the premier division, the Indian Super League. The competition was founded in 2007 as the successor to the National Football League, with the first season starting in November 2007.
