Umaru Nagwamatse
Umaru Nagwamatse dan Abu Bakr Atiku (18061876) was the founder and the first ruler (Sarkin Sudan) of the Kontagora Emirate. He was the grandson of Usman dan Fodio and the son of the third sultan of the Sokoto Caliphate, Sultan Abu Bakr Atiku. Life Nagwamatse founded the Kontagora Emirate in the year 1864. He became the ruler of the Emirate with his two sons; Modibo and Ibrahim. He was commonly known as ''Sarkin Sudan'', which translates to "King of Blacks" and was the first of the Sokoto Fulani ruling house in the Northern region of Nigeria to become king. Nagwamatse was the tenth son of Sultan Abubakar Atiku, from the Dan Fodio ruling house of Sokoto. The Kamuku languages are a branch of the Kainji languages spoken by the Kamuku people of Niger State, western Nigeria, mostly in Mariga and Rafi LGAs. Although formerly classified as Kamuku, Pongu is now placed in a related branch, the Pongu (Shiroro) languages, and Western Acipa (Cipu) with the Kambari languages. Ahmadu Atiku
Ahmadu Atiku ( ar, أحمد عتيكو) (c. 1807–1866) also known as Ahmadu Zarruku was Sultan of Sokoto from 1859 to 1866. Prior to becoming Sultan, he was head of the Abu Bakr Atiku branch of Uthman Dan Fodio's family and held the title of Sarkin Zamfara with responsibilities for Sokoto town and south-east Sokoto. Atiku established the military settlement (ribat) at Chimmola which was across the valley from the town of Wurno and which he used as the seat of government. A ribāṭ ( ar, رِبَـاط; hospice, hostel, base or retreat) is an Arabic term for a small fortification built along a frontier during the first years of the Muslim conquest of the Maghreb to house military volunteers, called ''murabitun'', and shortly after they also appeared along the Byzantine frontier, where they attracted converts from Greater Khorasan, an area that would become known as al-ʻAwāṣim in the ninth century CE. Gwari
Gbagyi or Gbari (plural - Agbagyi/Agbari) is the name and the language of Gbagyi/Gbari ethnic group who are predominantly found in Central Nigeria, with a population of about 1 million people. Members of the ethnic group speak two dialects.
