''Uma Chandi Gowri Sankarula Katha'' () is a 1968 Indian Telugu-language Hindu mythological film directed by K. V. Reddy. The film was produced by Nagi Reddi and Chakrapani under the Vijaya Productions banner. It stars N. T. Rama Rao and B. Saroja Devi, with music composed by Pendyala Nageswara Rao. Released on 11 January 1968, the film was a commercial failure. Plot In a debate among Saptarushis where Bhrigu Maharshi argues that the male is responsible for the entire nature and others say nature (female) is the origin of the universe. Bhrigu wanted to clarify his doubt with Siva. Upon reaching Kailasa, Siva would be teaching lessons on dance to Parvati and since they were in the process, he would be ignored by Parvati and Siva. Pingali Nagendra Rao (29 December 1901 – 6 May 1971), known mononymously by his surname Pingali, was an Indian screenwriter, lyricist, and playwright who worked in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. Famous for his witty and romantic lyrics, he also wrote dialogues for many films. ''Pathala Bhairavi'' (1951), ''Missamma'' (1955), and ''Mayabazar'' (1957) are some of his best known works for story, script and song lyrics. Telugu Academy, known as Telugu Akademi in official materials and some sources (from te, script=latn, Telugu Akāḍemī), can refer to two institutes set up to promote the use of Telugu and develop, preserve and modernize the language. The original one was set up by the Andhra Pradesh state government, while a new one using the original Hyderabad offices has been formed by the Telangana state government after bifurcation. Ghantasala Venkateswararao (4 December 1922 – 11 February 1974), known mononymously by his surname as Ghantasala, was an Indian playback singer and film composer known for his works predominantly in Telugu and Kannada cinema and also in Tamil, Malayalam, Tulu and Hindi language films. Dasari Girija ( 3 March 1938 – 5 September 1995) was an Indian actress who has worked in Telugu films. She was active in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s in comic roles.
