Uluköy, Taşova
Uluköy (formerly: ''Sonusa'' or ''Sonisa'') is a village in the Taşova District, Amasya Province, Turkey. Its population is 1,047 (2021). Before the 2013 reorganisation, it was a town ('' belde''). Scholars believe this was Roman ''Annisa'' or ''Annesi'', the site of Basil of Caesarea Basil of Caesarea, also called Saint Basil the Great ( grc, Ἅγιος Βασίλειος ὁ Μέγας, ''Hágios Basíleios ho Mégas''; cop, Ⲡⲓⲁⲅⲓⲟⲥ Ⲃⲁⲥⲓⲗⲓⲟⲥ; 330 – January 1 or 2, 379), was a bishop of Ca ...'s family land and monastic center.
