''Ulta'' () is a 2019 Indian Malayalam-language comedy drama film written and directed by Suresh Poduval (in his directorial debut) and produced by Subash Cipy. The film stars Gokul Suresh, Anusree and Prayaga Martin, with Siddique, Ramesh Pisharody, Kalabhavan Shajohn and Surabhi Lakshmi in supporting roles. Synopsis A utopian town managed by women discounts the festering resentment of their menfolk, whose devious plans unleash chaos and infighting in their little paradis . Suresh Poduval is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in the Malayalam film industry. He is best known for his work on the films ''Deepasthambham Mahascharyam'', ''Nadan Pennum Natupramaniyum'', and ''Achaneyanenikkishtam''. Early life and work Poduval was born in Payyanur, Kannur to Krishnan Master, and Narayaniyamma. After graduating from the University of Calicut, Poduval worked as an temporary announcer in the All India Radio He made his debut as a writer with '' Manthrikumaran'', the 1998 film directed by Thulasidas, and starring Mukesh and Sangita in the lead roles.
