Ulster F.C.
Ulster Football Club is a defunct Irish association football club that was based in Ballynafeigh, Belfast. History It was initially founded in 1877 as a rugby club, but later switched codes to association football. It was subsequently a founding member of the Irish Football League in 1890. The club later switched back to rugby and continued playing into the 1930s. The club was founded by members of Ulster Cricket Club and played its home games at the Ulster Cricket Ground. It is listed as a rugby club in Richard M. Peter’s ''Irish Football Annual 1880'' and during the 1879-80 season it played 24 games, taking on, among others, local rivals North of Ireland and Queen's College, Belfast. On October 24, 1878 the club hosted a demonstration game between two Scottish association football teams, Queen's Park and Caledonian. Ulster Cricket Ground
The Ulster Cricket Ground in Ballynafeigh Park was a sports venue in Ballynafeigh, Belfast. Opened in 1879, it was the home ground of both Ulster Cricket Club and Ulster F.C. During the 1880s, it also hosted several Irish Cup finals and Ireland international games. It has also hosted rugby union internationals. Fred McKee
Frederick William McKee (born 31 August 1883) was an Irish association football goalkeeper who played for, among others, Belfast-based clubs Cliftonville, Celtic and Linfield, and the national team of Ireland. At club level, McKee celebrated five Irish League titles and five Irish Cups. In 1914, he was a member of the Ireland team that won the British Home Championship - the only edition at which (united) Ireland became the unshared winners of the Championship. Irish International Fred McKee made his debut for Ireland at the 1906 British Home Championship on 17 March, in a 0–1 defeat to Scotland at Dalymount Park. His teammates that day included Robert Milne and Jack Kirwan. In spite of holding Wales at a 4–4 draw in his second international (the last tournament match), Ireland ended last. Alec McCartney
Alexander Douglas McCartney (14 November 1879 – 21 July 1968) was an Irish international footballer, active in both Ireland and England, who played as a full back. Career Born in the Ballynafeigh district of Belfast, McCartney played youth football with Rosetta National School, Ferndale of the Belfast Alliance League, and then Hatfield, before beginning his senior career in 1900 with Distillery. McCartney later played for Ulster and Linfield before moving to England to join Everton, where he spent a single season without making a League appearance. He moved to West Ham United, along with Everton teammate George Kitchen, in the summer of 1905 and played six Southern League Division One games for the club during 1905–06.
