Kenneth "Ken" Ulman (born May 4, 1974) is an American attorney, founder and CEO of a consulting firm, Margrave Strategies, and former Democratic Party (United States), Democratic politician in Howard County, Maryland. Prior to working in the private sector, Ulman served as county executive for Howard County from 2006 to 2014. He also represented the 4th district as a County Council member from 2002 to 2006. Ulman previously worked in the office of Maryland Governor Parris Glendening as liaison to the Maryland Board of Public Works, Board of Public Works and secretary to the Cabinet. Rabbi Avruhum Yitzchok Ulman (also Ullman) (Hebrew: ) is a senior Haredi rabbi living in Jerusalem. Biography He was born in Hungary and immigrated to Israel as a child. He serves on the Beis Din (court of Jewish law), also known as the ''Badatz'', of the Edah HaChareidis, Jerusalem's council of Haredi communities. He also presides over his own Beis Din, which deals mainly with financial matters. He is known as an expert in ''Choshen Mishpat'' ( Jewish law on financial/property law matters). He is a respected Haredi leader, often officiating at public gatherings of Haredi Jews in Jerusalem. Rabbi Ulman is a member of the Dushinsky Hasidic movement. Bernard Ulman (December 16, 1917 – 1986) was an American football and lacrosse official. Personal Ulman played as a lacrosse midfielder at the University of Maryland from 1938 to 1943 and also played football for the school. In addition to officiating, he was a salesman of sports equipment. American football Ulman officiated in the National Football League (NFL) for fifteen years and was selected to officiate in Super Bowl I and Super Bowl IX. Ulman Owens (1878 - March 11, 1931) was an American lighthouse keeper. He is chiefly remembered today for the mysterious circumstances surrounding his death. Owens became a lighthouse keeper in 1911, and served much of his career at the Holland Island Bar Light; little else is known of his life. Early life Ulman Owens was born as "Royal Ulman Owens" in Somerset County, Maryland on April 24, 1878. He was the oldest son of Samuel J. & Priscilla (née White) Owens. He married twice, both in Somerset County: 1) Ella Harding in 1899. They had two children: Mildred G. Owens (b. 1901) and Sicci G. Owens (b. 1904). Ella died on May 10, 1908. 2) Lucy H. Bounds on May 19, 1909. They had two children: Murdice L. Owens (b. 1914) and Ella O. Owens (b. 1916). Lucy died on June 29, 1923. He was raised as a waterman until joining the U.S. Lighthouse Service in 1911.
