Ullal City Municipal
The Ullal City Municipal is the municipal corporation responsible for looking after the city administration of the city of Ullal in Mangalore, Karnataka, India. Ullal is a region/neighborhood in the southern part of Mangalore city with a population more than 53,000 as per the 2011 census. The incumbent president of the corporation is K.Hussain and the vice president Chitra. Ullal was upgraded from Town Municipal to City Municipal in the year 2014. Ullal City Municipal along with Mangalore City Corporation forms a continuous urban area and comes under Mangalore Urban Agglomeration. Netravati Bridge
Netravati Bridge is on NH 66 in Mangalore, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka, India, built over Netravati River, which connects Mangalore city with its southern suburbs Thokottu, Ullal and Deralakatte. This bridge is also called Ullal Bridge as this bridge is located in the town called Ullal in Mangalore taluk. The total length of this bridge is 830 metres. This bridge is on the Karnataka - Kerala national highway NH 66. As part of the national highway it was 2 lane wide. When the roads were widened, the additional bridge was built parallel to old bridge and it was released to public on 20 March 2014. The new bridge has a total of 24 pillars including 18 pillars amidst the water and 6 pillars alongside the river. The height of each pillar is 33.25 feet tall. 2011 Census Of India
The 2011 Census of India or the 15th Indian Census was conducted in two phases, house listing and population enumeration. The House listing phase began on 1 April 2010 and involved the collection of information about all buildings. Information for National Population Register (NPR) was also collected in the first phase, which will be used to issue a 12-digit unique identification number to all registered Indian residents by Unique Identification Authority of India. The second population enumeration phase was conducted between 9 and 28 February 2011. Census has been conducted in India since 1872 and 2011 marks the first time biometric information was collected. Thokottu
Thokottu is a commercial junction to the south of Mangalore city on National Highway 66 (previously known as NH 17) and the gateway to Mangalore city from the South (Kerala). It is one of the major and busiest junctions of Mangalore city wherein one road (Medical Corridor Road) goes towards east to Deralakatte and Konaje, educational hubs with several premium educational institutions and few information technology companies, the other road towards west goes to Ullal. This junction connects Mangalore city, second major city of Karnataka with Talapady and Kerala. The Lok Sabha, constitutionally the House of the People, is the lower house of India's bicameral Parliament, with the upper house being the Rajya Sabha. Ullal or ''Uḷḷāla'' is a City Municipality at Mangalore, educational, commercial & industrial hub in Dakshina Kannada district. It is located 10 km from the Mangalore City centre.
