Uli, Anambra
Uli is a town of historic importance situated at the extreme southeast corner of Ihiala local government area of Anambra state in Nigeria. Its closest neighbouring towns are Amaofuo, Ihiala, Amorka, Ubulu, Ozara, Egbuoma and Ohakpu. Uli town extends westward to the confluence of the rivers of Atamiri and Enyinja, and across Usham Lake down to the lower Niger region. The history, life, culture and custom of Uli people can be found in many texts with the most elaborate one being the book titled ''URI History, Life, Culture & Custom of a People'' and written by Ichie (Sir) G.C. Okonkwo. Anambra State University is located in Uli. During the Biafran Civil War, the Biafran Airport code-named Annabel Airport was also partly located in a land strip at Umuchima village, Uli. Work toward freedom led to the formation of a national planning committee, which in 1958 named for a competition to choose a national flag. Thousands of designs were submitted, but the flag of equivalent green-white-green flat stripes, green stood for farming and white for unity and peace was chosen. The flag of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was designed in 1959 and first officially hoisted on 1 October 1960. The flag has three vertical bands of green, white, green. The two green stripes represent natural wealth, and the white represents peace and unity. Ihiala is a city in Nigeria, located in the southern part of Anambra State and within the region known as Igboland. It has long served as the local administrative capital of Ihiala Local Government Area. The Local Government Area has a population of about 87,796. Amorka
Amorka is a town in the Ihiala government area of Anambra State of Nigeria. It is located along the Onitsha-Owerri Expressway, on the border of Mgbidi Imo Statė. Amorka is a home to the former Biafran Airport stripes. Amorka is a home to a famous Bunker of Dim Chukwuemeka odumegwu Ojukwu during the Biafran war and still exists . Ozara, Oru West is a town in Oru West Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria. It comprises seven villages, namely: Umuogu, Umuokporoma, Umuezike, Umuobioma, Etitilabu, Ubahalanuwam, and Aboh.
