Ulf Georg Georgsson (born 22 April 1962 in Kinna Parish in former Älvsborg County, Sweden), is a Swedish songwriter, who has participated at Melodifestivalen as a songwriter, and written songs recorded by, among other, Lasse Stefanz, Vikingarna, Playtones, Drifters, Zekes, CC & Lee, Black Jack, Barbados, Friends and Frøya. As a musician he plays the drums in Flamingokvintetten since June 2013, after 30 years in Bhonus. At Svensktoppen ''Svensktoppen'' () is a weekly record chart airing at Sveriges Radio. Until January 2003, the songs had to be in the Swedish language. Svensktoppen has aired since 1962, except for the years 1982-1985. ''Svensktoppen'' () is a weekly record chart airing at Sveriges Radio. Until January 2003, the songs had to be in the Swedish language. Svensktoppen has aired since 1962, except for the years 1982-1985. The last years before the January 2003 change, the programme was strongly dominated by dansband music. Friends was a Sweden, Swedish ''dansband'' or pop music, pop group formed in 1999 and made up of Stefan Brunzell, Tony Haglund, Kristian Hermanson, Nina Inhammar, Kim Kärnfalk and Peter Strandberg. They were put together from auditions on the reality television show ''Friends på turne'' (''Friends on Tour''), made by Bert Karlsson for TV4 (Sweden), TV4. The show was a success and Friends competed on Melodifestivalen 2000, reaching second place. Barbados (band)
Barbados is a Swedish dansband, formed in 1992, who have had several Swedish chart successes. The band, with lead singer Magnus Carlsson, became widely known after their second place in Melodifestivalen 2000. The band has replaced lead singer three times. First Magnus Carlsson left the group in 2002 and later became a member of the group Alcazar. Mathias Holmgren, a former Fame Factory student was the new lead singer, but was forced to leave the band in 2004. Chris Lindh replaced him, before leaving the band in 2007. The current lead singer is Björn Lagerström. The band won its first Grammis Award in February of the year 2000.
