Ukraine In The Eurovision Song Contest 2024
Ukraine was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the song "Teresa & Maria", written by Alyona Alyona, Aliona Savranenko, Anton Chilibi, Ivan Klymenko, and Jerry Heil, Yana Shemaieva, and performed by Savranenko and Shemaieva themselves under their stages names Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil. The Ukrainian participating broadcaster, the Suspilne, Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine (), organised the national final ''2024'' in order to select its entry for the contest. Ukraine was drawn to compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 7 May 2024 and was later selected to perform in position 5. At the end of the show, "Teresa & Maria" was announced among the top 10 entries of the first semi-final and hence qualified to compete in the final. Timur Valeriyovych Miroshnychenko ( Ukrainian: Тімур Валерійович Мірошниченко) (born 9 March 1986) is a Ukrainian TV presenter for the channel UA:PBC. He was the host of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 together with Ani Lorak, and again in 2013 with Zlata Ognevich. Timur also co-hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. Biography Miroshnychenko was born on 9 March 1986 in Kyiv. In his years as a student he was a member of KVN student's team. His TV career began in 2005, when he became a commentator for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2005 — the first JESC to broadcast in Ukraine. Yuliia Oleksandrivna Bebko (née Holovan; , born 11 October 1990), professionally known as Julia Sanina, is a Ukrainian singer and the front woman of the Ukrainian alternative rock band The Hardkiss. Biography Sanina was born into a family of musicians on 11 October 1990 in Kyiv, Ukraine. She performed on the stage for the first time when she was three years old; her singing was then accompanied by an ensemble that her father directed. The National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War ( uk, Музей історії України у Другій світовій війні) is a memorial complex commemorating the German-Soviet War located in the southern outskirts of the Pechersk district of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, on the picturesque hills on the right-bank of the Dnipro River.
