Ukraine Crisis Media Center (UCMC) is a non-governmental organization that provides information about events in Ukraine, challenges and threats in the national security, in particular in the military, political, economic, energy and humanitarian spheres. UCMC assists international media representatives, in particular with an objective to defend Ukraine’s sovereignty and its national interests in the global information space. History UCMC was founded in March 2014 with the efforts of leading Ukrainian experts in the sphere of international relations, communications and public relations. It was established to help Ukraine amplify its voice on the international arena about the events connected to annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation. Mykhailo Mykhailovych Kotsiubynsky ( uk, Михайло Михайлович Коцюбинський), (September 17, 1864 – April 25, 1913) was a Ukrainian author whose writings described typical Ukrainian life at the start of the 20th century. Kotsiubynsky's early stories were described as examples of ethnographic realism; in the years to come, with his style of writing becoming more and more sophisticated, he evolved into one of the most talented Ukrainian impressionist and modernist writers. The popularity of his novels later led to some of them being made into Soviet movies. 2016 Dutch Ukraine–European Union Association Agreement Referendum
An advisory referendum on the approval of the Ukraine–European Union Association Agreement was held in the Netherlands on 6 April 2016. The referendum question was: "Are you for or against the Approval Act of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine?" With a turnout of 32.28%, the threshold for a valid referendum was met. 61% of the votes cast were against the Approval Act, and 38.2% in favour. This accounted for 19.5% of eligible voters voting against and 12.2% voting in favour. As the Act was rejected, the States General has to enact a follow-up law to either repeal the Act or put it into effect after all. The referendum is the first since the enactment of the Advisory Referendum Act (''Wet raadgevend referendum'') on 1 July 2015, with the Dutch tapping law referendum in 2018 to be the second. The Institute for Statecraft is a pro-democracy think tank founded in 2009 by Christopher Donnelly and Daniel Lafayeedney, based in Fife, Scotland.
