United ( sr-cyrl, Уједињени, Ujedinjeni) is a parliamentary group in the National Assembly of Serbia and City Assembly of Belgrade. The parliamentary groups are composed of parties that took part in the United for the Victory of Serbia (UZPS) coalition in the 2022 Serbian general election. In the National Assembly, the parliamentary group is headed by Marinika Tepić, while in the City Assembly of Belgrade, it is headed by Mila Popović. History Formation The United for the Victory of Serbia (UZPS) coalition, which included the Party of Freedom and Justice (SSP), Movement of Free Citizens (PSG), Movement for Reversal (PZP), United Trade Unions of Serbia "Sloga" (USS Sloga), and the Fatherland movement, took part in the 2022 general election. United For The Victory Of Serbia
United for the Victory of Serbia ( sr-cyrl, Уједињени за победу Србије, Ujedinjeni za pobedu Srbije, UZPS) was an opposition political coalition in Serbia that participated in the 2022 Serbian general election. The coalition was preceded by the Alliance for Serbia and United Opposition of Serbia (UOPS), both of which had existed between 2018 and January 2021. Coalition parties temporarily suspended their cooperation after the dissolution of UOPS, although they resumed cooperation around June 2021. The coalition was officially renewed in November 2021 and formalized in February 2022, under the name United Serbia in order to prepare for the 2022 general election. Marinika Tepić
Marinika Tepić (; sr-Cyrl, Мариника Тепић, ; born 8 August 1974) is a Serbian politician. She is a vice-president of the Party of Freedom and Justice (''Stranka slobode i pravde'', SSP) and a prominent figure in the opposition to Serbian president Aleksandar Vučić. Tepić was Secretary for Sports and Youth in the Government of Vojvodina from 2012 to 2016 and a member of the National Assembly of Serbia from 2016 to 2020. The Movement for Reversal ( sr-Cyrl, Покрет за преокрет, Pokret za preokret, PZP) is a centre-left political organization in Serbia. Its leader is Janko Veselinović, a professor at the University of Novi Sad. History Movement for Reversal was found in 2015, by a Serbian academic Janko Veselinović, who decided to split from the Social Democratic Party, claiming that its leadership does not have a clear vision of how to counter the Serbian Progressive Party and the Socialist Party of Serbia. The organization participated in the 2016 Serbian parliamentary elections in a coalition along with the Serbian Left and the Social Democratic Union. Dejan Bulatović ( sr-cyr, Дејан Булатовић; born 8 February 1975) is a Serbian politician and activist serving as the member of the National Assembly since 1 August 2022. He received international attention during the 1996–1997 protests in Serbia after he was arrested for carrying a puppet of Slobodan Milošević dressed in prison garb; subsequent reports that he was beaten by state authorities were covered in major newspapers worldwide. Fatherland (movement)
The People's Movement of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija "Fatherland" (), commonly known as the Fatherland, is a political organization in Serbia and Kosovo that represents the Serbian minority in Kosovo. It is led by the former Mayor of Zubin Potok, and a prominent figure in the Kosovo Serb community, Slaviša Ristić. The Movement of Free Citizens ( sr-cyrl, Покрет слободних грађана, Pokret slobodnih građana, PSG) is a liberal political organization in Serbia. History Saša Janković was in the position of state ombudsman, and as such, he often criticized practices of the government, led by SNS and Vučić. 2022 Serbian General Election
General elections were held in Serbia on 3 April 2022 to elect both the president and members of the National Assembly. Initially, parliamentary elections were scheduled to be held in 2024; however, in October 2020 president Aleksandar Vučić stated that snap parliamentary elections would be held in or before April 2022. In addition to the general elections, local elections were held simultaneously in 12 municipalities and 2 cities, including Belgrade.
