Districts Of The Czech Republic
Districts of the Czech Republic are territorial units, formerly used as second-level administrative divisions of the Czech Republic. After their primary administrative function has been abolished in 2003, they still exist for the activities of specific authorities and as statistical units. Their administrative function was moved to selected municipalities. Establishment In 1960, Czechoslovakia was re-divided into districts ('' okres'', plural ''okresy'') often without regard to traditional division and local relationships. Buchlovice
Buchlovice (german: Buchlowitz) is a market town in Uherské Hradiště District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,400 inhabitants. Geography Buchlovice is located about west of Uherské Hradiště and southwest of Zlín. It lies on the border between the Chřiby highlands and Kyjov Hills. Hostětín
Hostětín is a municipality and village in Uherské Hradiště District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 200 inhabitants. Geography Hostětín is located about southeast of Zlín and northwest of Trenčín. It lies on the border between the Vizovice Highlands and White Carpathians. The highest point is at above sea level. Hluk (Uherské Hradiště District)
Hluk (german: Hulken) is a town in Uherské Hradiště District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 4,200 inhabitants. Etymology The name of Hluk is very likely derived from Latin word ''hlucium'' ( en, noise, cs, hluk). It probably got its name from the noisy flowing water of the Okluky stream.
